I guess I don't get out of reading this on either point! It's very well-written, but I found it perhaps slightly disturbing, perhaps because the sex didn't seem 100% consensual - it's probably just my mis-interpretation of events. Or maybe you wrote it that way deliberately - your writing is so subtle that I can never tell whether the inference is really there or just my imagination until several chapters later!

I'm curious, though: Eressetor isn't Feanaro's first male partner, is he?
