I've never understood drive-by friending either. What's the point of adding journals to your Friends list that you have no real interest in reading. (And am I the only person who wishes LJ would rename the Friends list something like "Subscription list"? Just because you've friendied someone doesn't mean you're buddies! It only means you like to read their journal entires.)
What sort of ladybugs do you have? The nasty orange Asian ones that bite, or the nice red native ones? We get the orange ones here mostly, and they are almost as annoying as box elder bugs. They get into verything!
