What a gorgeous piece. The imagery and emotion captured in it are stunning, and I was quite taken with the rhythm of your writing. There's a marvelous beat to this piece that pulled me forward and forward as I read it (with a brief lull in the center, only to prolong the suspense as Earwen wakes) until it stopped and slowed right at the very end.
