I am reading Virginia Woolf right now, which is probably part of the reason that the story flows as it does. Her writing has an ethereal, dream-like quality to it that I have always admired (slavered over is more like it) and that I thought would work well in this story, so I let her inspire me for this piece. :) I'm glad it worked for you! It was fun to write in the stream-of-consciousness; aside from some mental "drafting" while driving to and from work, I had no idea where the story was going. It didn't end as I expected.
