It's so interesting to see what is local for people around the world. :) We have four eggplant plants in the garden right now, and the squash vines have overtaken the fence! :) Counting the pumpkins, we are growing six varieties of squash this year; they get us through the winter, since they keep so well in the basement. I called them Nature's Tupperware. :) We also grew cabbage in the spring (it's too hot for it now, although it looks like we may get a second fall crop) and have carrots as well, but the latter aren't ready for harvesting yet. Here, you're much more likely to find eggplant and squash at this time of year than carrots (and cabbage is nonexistent right now), but I suppose that is a difference in climate. It has been pretty tropical here lately! :D
