*squee* You know, your conception of Himring is very much like mine! I actually already wrote a chapter of a story where my narrator commented on the bare functionality of Himring next to beautiful Doriath and Nargothrond, and then comforted herself with the thought that if Himring was not there to defend the lands to the south, none of those other places would survive.
