I’m enjoying your story. I was wondering after the first two chapters which direction you would take the issue of homosexuality in the AMC world – deviant behavior, or the “Eru made us this way and loves us all equally” acceptance. Obviously Erestor’s dad views it as a pretty bad thing, and that he noticed his son’s behavior for what it is, suggests it’s not an uncommon occurrence among elves. So is daddy just being judgmental, or is this a written or unwritten law?
I’ve always found the issue of sexual preference among elves rather interesting. I mean, we obviously know what Tolkien intended, but in reality, elves are immortal, and there really isn’t too much need to procreate once they reach Valinor.
