Yes, I did intend for it to feel slightly non-consensual. Feanaro--and probably Eressetor too--would never call it this. They would say that he was frightened and merely needed to be pushed into doing something that would make him happy. I don't buy it, personally. I think that Feanaro went too far.
Eressetor is Feanaro's first male partner. I try to stay consistent with Felakverse as much as possible, so Nerds and Fean met young and married young here too.
