Just wanted to make sure. Not everyone is familiar with electronic detritus.
And, yes, a splitter is a great thing for a music person to carry around. I've used it for sharing research into online forms of music (primarily AMVs), and for doing listening assignments for a class on Western music with a Turkish classmate who wanted to do the assignments with a partner who was familiar with Western culture.
What I need to get now is a set of those little earbud headphones that I can just keep wrapped up in my purse for when they are needed. I have a set of conventional headphones, but it's a pain to take them anywhere, and I always end up misplacing them. Earbuds would fit nicely into a purse pocket.
Ahh, the contents of an ethnomusicological purse. . .
By the way, I will get to your new story as soon as I have a moment.
