Hehe, nice. I don't quite think it's possible to assign a "universal worth" to a song though either. The lyrics are just poems. The music is what makes it a song.
What I want to know is, if lyrics are the criteria for judging a song's worth, how am I supposed to rate orchestral music?!? ;)
It's ok, I'll admit to liking the occasional Jars of Clay song. ;)
