First of all, there was a big event on the way to work this morning....
At long last, a driver has earned the Felak-lean! Yes, it has been a long time since I've had the opportunity to practice the Felak-lean. People have been behaving well around me lately, and I don't "Felak-lean" just anybody. But this woman totally cut me off while getting onto Route 29 from Route 40 this morning. The exit lane there always backs up, and stupid opportunists drive in the adjacent lane and then try to butt in at the front. Normally, if they signal, I'll let them over (because the exit lane is very poorly marked, and if you're not familiar with the area, it is easy to become confuddled), but this b*tch just decided to put her stupid, old-ass hoopty right in front of mine. No signal, nothing! Like inch-from-an-accident front. So she got the Felak-lean.
(The Felak-lean, for those who don't know, is my husband's and my term for my tendency to lean extra-long on the horn at *$@&%*s who cut me off. Because, apparently, there is a big glowing sign on the front of the car that says, "I am Felak, please cut me off!" Or maybe it says, "Yes, that space between my car and the next that is precisely one inch longer than your car was made for you! Come on in!")
I am very nice and an overly polite/courteous/safe driver, and so such behavior really pisses me off. I will let someone over who has their signal on, if I can, even if I have to be inconvenienced to do so. Hence the Felak-lean, and my little bit of aggressivity for the day.
( Felak on Patriotism (warning for the spark of rant potential) )
