( Word of the Day for 26 March 2006--bellwether )
( Word of the Day for 27 March 2006--conflueunce )
Whew. Lots of examples for that last one. Someone at Dictionary.com must have been thinking, "Hey, let's test Dawn Felagund's skills at rotely placing HTML tags!"
"Bellwether," of course, is yesterday's word. I have been a busy girl on the weekends, so I wouldn't expect that I will be keeping up with the daily drabble then but rather doing a drubble/tribble or a drabble series on Monday, using all of the Words of the Day. Next weekend won't be much better, as my old skating group is having their show and I must go see it and console myself about where I've been versus where I am now (a neurotic soloist with a bum leg!)
Anyway. Since I did a drubble for my last two-word day, I will do a pair of matched drabbles today. (Remember the drabunculus? Expect that to rear its ugly head sometime soon!) The drabbles are collectively titled "Dissolution" and are about Nerdanel and Feanor. I have always found the most fascinating aspect of their separation not to be the angsty last moments of their marriage but, rather, the insidious dissolution of their bond in the days leading up to this...hence, "Dissolution."

Bobby, these are your words of the day too. ;)
