Create for Life Project

Create for Life is this weekend!

(Not sure what the heck I'm talking about? The Create for Life community has more information here!)

I have decided to take on a project that has me both nervous and excited because it will truly be a challenge for me. I will be writing for 24 hours straight, working on a novella that I've been planning for some years now. The full project description is here. I am looking for sponsors willing to pledge a donation to the American Cancer Society for every 1,000 words I write or a flat donation. However, I also know times are tough, and people can't give to every worthy cause. So I'm also looking for cheerleaders willing to cheer me on this Saturday! :) I'll be making periodic progress updates on LiveJournal, Dreamwidth, and Facebook during my 24-hour marathon. Even better yet, if you have some free time this weekend, please consider taking an hour or two to write a story or make a piece of art for the Create for Life project.

I was just scrolling through the DS assignment list, looking for something dull and easy to write about fruit trees or native plants or powdery mildew or any of the other garden-variety topics that are my bread and butter on DS, and I found the. best. DS. topic. evah.
