Oh, man! This chapter is SMOKIN'!! It's so visual - it just left me breathless. The child's vision of death is very well-realized and it's so true how they ruminate over one thought they can't let go of.
Ha!Ha! Ha! "Iluvatar in Ea, Carnistir, hold still!" Now I know what to say when my own little boy does the same thing! I'll just have to substitute "Sean" for "Carnistir"!
OMG, I cried. I did. I cried. (I'm tough, I never cry.) When Carnistir finds Feanor and Nerdanel in bed together, the visual imagery is so tender, striking, and incredibly moving. I have to go find kleenex so I can continue reading -----
