I do think it's worth the effort! :) (Full disclosure that I'm terribly biased, being as I own a Silmfic website and all ...)
I could not do it in audio form. I already have a terrible time comprehending information delivered in a solely auditory format. And all those names!!
There are good online resources to make reading the Silm less painful; if you'd like some recs, just let me know!
