Well, 'man' can be a male person of either race, so AMC is fine. ;) It's the capitalized Man that Tolkien uses for mankind - so in a story title, it's not really discernible...
Yes, I remember that argument. I guess it's a valid point - the viable offspring, that is - although it somehow feels wrong with me to consider Elves 'human'. But I can't really give any good arguments for that feeling, so maybe it's just me...
