Actually you *can't* justifiy death penalty with that saying, because it's intended to compare two kinds of punishement for two different crimes. It's not about comparing the *injury* with the *punishment*.

Being mean and vicious is a waste of precious time. I don't know how long I may stay in this pretty place, so I prefer to spend my time with other things. And then there is always the possibility that we may come face to face with some kind of divine being after our little stint here. How am I supposed to explain being mean and bitchy then? I'd rather try to explain how I tried *not* to be mean and bitchy.
