I don't think I would have been able to tell there was anything different about this chapter in terms of rewriting, had there been no note about it...
Was going to say this earlier, but I guess it fits here, too: I like the way you write about Indis and the characters' feelings about and around her--it's really not hard for me to believe that Finwë could fall in love with her (while The Silmarillion just left me with the impression that Finwë was just... I don't know, desperate for more children or something), and I love the extra element of Maitimo's feelings about her, too...
I liked the interaction between Maitimo and Vorondil, too. :)
