I don't think I would have been able to tell there was anything different about this chapter in terms of rewriting, had there been no note about it...
Oh good! *relieved sigh* I read the whole chapter twice beforehand to get back into the voice I was using, but fresh writing still feels so rough to me.
I like the way you write about Indis and the characters' feelings about and around her
I find myself increasingly fascinated by Indis. When I first "met" her, Feanor had me convinced that she was Teh Evol, but as myrsine said in a comment above, she was actually quite a brave, tradition-thwarting woman for what she did. Now I'm knocking Indis-related plotbunnies off my ankles! :^P
I like how in HoMe (I forget which one) it is said that Finwe met her on the slopes of Taniquetil and she comforted him, and he fell in love with her (or something like that! It's been a while since I read it.) It makes her more than just a means for him to have more children.
I liked the interaction between Maitimo and Vorondil, too. :)
