Okay, I finished reading 40 and 41... and I have to admit that I like chapter 41 a lot. Somehow 41 feels more driven to me, you seem to dive into Maedhros thoughts, unbearing his pain as if you are peeling them away like an onion. But chapter 40 had some beautiful Finwë moments, his love for Maedhros shines so through in both chapters. Maehdros maturing fast, especially in chapter 41. It feels like he's already to mature for his own family and I can sense a certain weariness of his own family. I think it would be good for him if he would live on his own for a while.
