Believe it or not, Meryth is supposed to be the most demure of Belegil's kids. Celinna is the most fiery, then Talban, and Meryth is sweet and shy. Which I think is why he likes the idea of LJ so much. He's a middle child if I've ever seen one.
Talban is soaking in a bathtub under the attentions of Felagund right now, I guess. ;)
