Most of the revisions so far have been centered on the earliest chapters; you didn't read the first drafts here, but they were pretty awful. ;) This story started as a past-tense character study and evolved somewhere around Chapter Five or Six into a present-tense novel. Most of the middle chapters I am leaving alone, except for the few mentions of future events which really don't jive with a present-tense "in the moment" telling. Also, some of the later chapters, as you noted, need some help. I suffered a data loss and lost some big chunks of material that had to be quickly rewritten in order to keep up with my posting schedule. I'm trying now to get myself way ahead of the game in terms of revision so that I can bring the ending chapters up to par with the middle chapters.
