And since Jenni misses
meryth and
talban and their relentless bickering, Mer will probably do it too in his LJ too. I'm sure Talbie can find something to ridicule about his answers. He'll also be updating his adventures, after his handler...erm...figures out what happens next. *blushes* (She has a fairly good idea, rest assured.)
So here are the questions:
If you knew you were going to die on at specific day at a specific time, what's the last...
1. song you would listen to?
2. book you would read?
3. person you would talk to?
4. food you would eat?
5. goal you would accomplish?
1. song you would listen to?
"Tonight Tonight," by the Smashing Pumpkins.
The album Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness came out when I was a freshman in high school. My sister bought it, and I yoinked her copy because I loved the CD so much. (It's over on my CD tower right now, ten years later, hehe.) My favorite was the song "Tonight Tonight," and when I developed a crush on one of my high school friends, the song would make me think of him because the intensity and passion in the song was how I wanted to fall in love.
I was still young enough to skate in my garage then, and I would skate to that song and pretend that I was skating for him. I nearly did a double jump once to that song, "skating for him."
"He," of course, was Bobby. I still think of him when I hear that song, and the song still gives me chills.
2. book you would read?
Does this have to be asked? The Silmarillion. Is it my favorite book? That's hard to say. It's certainly the book that's most changed my life.
And I'd need to say goodbye to Maedhros before moving beyond the Circles of the World.
3. person you would talk to?
Bobby, of course. Who else?
4. food you would eat?
Probably nachos. I would say that I like nachos, but that's not entirely true. It's more like "I'm a fiend for nachos." Ahhh...chips and cheesy evol goodness...what is it about them? I had nachos for lunch today: tortilla chips and melted cheddar and big hunks of onion and hot pepper (which were so hot that I gave half to my hubby with the cast-iron stomach) and...where was I?
Okay, so I like nachos. I feel guilty about eating them sometimes, as there's no way to justify them being good for me. I'm young, skinny, and active, but they're still really, really bad. So I usually argue with myself before ordering them. At least, if this was the last food I'd eat, I could skip the argument bit, as it would not matter much.
Oh, and Della Rose's has the best nachos. I should know; I'm conducting a study!
5. goal you would accomplish?
I'd say, "Start my business," but to what purpose? Nelyo's is only part of Bobby's dreams--his current job is more a career whereas mine is more a temporary fairly well-paying gig to keep me in the style to which I am accustomed--and I don't know that he'd want to forsake his work with CPB to pursue candymaking full-time. My mom might be interested, but she's retirement age; Sharon and Kirsty and I have talked about them opening Nelyo's British franchise, but maybe they'll find something better suited to their dreams and goals.
Still, I'd like to get Nelyo's underway, just to say that I did something that made me happy. And others too.
(Oh, and I'd finish revising bloody AMC for sure!)
