... and I'm back from lunch and with 3,500 words so far! I'm just about through Chapter One. OME, it feels so good to write. I haven't written--truly written--in so long that I'd forgotten the feeling of becoming so immersed in a story that the rest of the world fades away. (I'm hoping that I can forget it again because, after today, it's back to the grindstone for me.)
I was worried that I wouldn't be inspired by the story, which happened the last time I tried NaNoWriMo. Plugging through a novel you could care less about sucks. But I've fallen in love with the story and the characters, and I'm not even out of Chapter One.
Of course, ask me in 12 hours--or 18 hours--how I feel then. ;) But so far, so good.
