I am a bad little Elf because I should be writing and am not. I have eighteen minutes before I can leave from work, and it seems silly to drag my story out when I won't have any time to work on it. I have pledged a page a day, though. If I have fifty pages left to write, this means that I can finish in a month-and-a-half, at least, accounting for the five days that I will be on holiday. So, hopefully, after I have my Friday-afternoon-preparing-to-stay-up-mad-late-Friday-night nap, then I can pop the disk into the 'puter and write at least a page. More would be nice, but I'll settle for a page :)
I was thinking the other day that I need to outline the remaining sections for my story. Not chapters, mind you, but sections. Each section has two or three chapters and refers to a chunk of PoV from a particular character.
(So if you have thought that my chapter divisions seem rather random, you'd be right: They are, for the most part. But most of the "sections" are too large to post whole into HASA Members, for instance. Nor would anyone want to read chapters that long.)
As far as I can see it, the story will progress as follows:
-Maitimo (my current headache)
-Carnistir
-Macalaure
-conclusion (probably Maitimo again, given the plot, but who knows....)
See? That's not a lot! I can write that!
I should also probably throw another Feanor in there, but I cringe to think of it. I have taken his PoV once. The first time I tried, it really sucked, and I hit a wrong button and deleted the whole thing. Good thing too! The second time I tried, he duped me into believing something utterly stupid, and now I have to rewrite his section and part of the next.

Anyway, this, in turn, got me thinking about a Silmarillion movie. I joke to Bobby all the time that, were a Sil movie to be made, I would be first in line for tickets on opening night and gripe and complain about it ever after. I'd probably be like those LotR canatics that irk fans of the movie by being unable to look past it derivations from the book. Plus, they'd probably cop out and make Feanor evil, and that would just piss me off.
A few weeks ago, Bobby, our friend Harry Potter, and I were sitting on our balcony, talking about who would play our various friends and family members if a movie were ever made about us. I ended up being played by Nicole Kidman while Bobby ended up being played by Russell Crowe. (That's okay by me because Bobby finds Nicole Kidman attractive while I have no problem with Russell Crowe ;D) Harry Potter, was Daniel Radcliffe, of course. But my question to you, my dear LJ friends, is to ask who you envision playing the various Sil characters were--Eru help us--a movie ever to be made about it.
Hopefully, you'll do better than my "Orlando Bloom as Celegorm" bit!
