...'cause I'm a memesheep and a cloned one at that!
I've seen these memes everywhere, and I wasn't going to do them at first. But I've seen them everywhere, like I said, and they've grown on me.
So here goes.
1. Have you ever been searched by the cops?
No. Although I did get a pretty thorough wanding the other day at the Cap's game.
2. Do you close your eyes on roller coasters?
When I was younger, I used to sometimes. Now...never! Sometimes I won't even blink just so I don't miss a single second. (Felak is a coaster fan, if you couldn't tell.)
3. When was the last time you've been sleigh riding?
I've never been.
4. Would you rather sleep with someone else, or alone?
My husband is a good bedmate. We have separate blankets, so he can't steal my covers, and he's pretty good about staying on his side.
5. Do you believe in ghosts?
I consider the possibility and look at the evidence.
6. Do you consider yourself creative?
Sometimes too creative....
7. Do you think O.J. killed his wife?
Yes. And while I think the media circus around this was sickening and I didn't follow it, I think it's terrible that he got off.
8. Jennifer Aniston or Angelina Jolie?
I suppose Angelina. Although I have neither a particular liking or disliking for either.
9. Can you honestly say you know anything about politics?
Bobby--who studied political science--says that I argue politics very viscerally. I can't follow the news without getting depressed and too upset over things I can't change, but then I don't believe the news is a good source either...so we'll say "no." I argue from the heart.
10. Do you know how to play poker?
No. The family card game was Uno.
11. Have you ever been awake for 48 hours straight?
I don't think quite that long. I had a bad experience with the stimulants in cold medicine last year, but I think that I was only awake for about *counts* thirty-six hours.
12. Do you kill bugs that are in the house?
No. I tend to leave them where they are. If Bobby insists that the insect be removed, I catch it and put it outside.
13. Have you ever cheated on a test?
In high school, I was a...erm...resource for certain friends. Including Bobby! But once, our chem teacher asked us what we were doing, and I said, "Oh, I'm just helping them," and she said, "Okay," and went away, so maybe that--being sanctioned--doesn't count!
14. If you're driving in the middle of the night, and no one is around... do you go through red lights?
Maryland is the Red Light Capital of the U.S., so I don't dare.
15. Do you have a secret that no one knows but you?
I'm sure I do.
16. Boston Red Sox or New York Yankees?
Neither. But if I had to pick, I'd pick the Sox. I'm an Orioles fan and can't support the Yankees! (I'm having a hard enough time swallowing the notion of the Steelers going to the Super Bowl....)
17. Have you ever Ice Skated?
Yes, but I'm pretty bad at it. Bobby is a hockey player, so I often go with him. But put me in rollerskates...that's more my speed!
18. How often do you remember your dreams?
Given the amount of dreaming the average person is supposed to do, not often. But I do remember some quite vividly.
19. When was the last time you laughed so hard you were crying?
I have no idea.
20. Can you name 5 songs by The Beatles?
"A Day in the Life," "Elanor Rigby," "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band," "When I'm Sixty-Four," "Let It Be"...shall I keep going? :^P
21. Do you get along with your ex(es)?
The ex from before Bobby was actually a good friend of mine, but I haven't talked to him in years. The only other ex I have is one of my least favorite people in the world. I might throw a party if I heard he was being deported.
22. Do you believe in love at first sight?
I've never experienced it, so I can't say either way.
24. Do you always wear your seat belt?
Yes. My parents were in an accident when I was young and would have been killed if they didn't have their seatbelts on. It seems a small price to pay for my life.
25. What talent do you wish you had?
I would like to be able to sing well.
26. Do you like Sushi?
I had vegetarian sushi once, in Marine Biology class in high school. It was good...so yes!
27. Have you ever narrowly avoided a fatal accident?
Accident? No. But I did almost drown when I was three.
28. What do you wear to bed?
T-shirt and shorts.
29. Have you ever been caught stealing?
I've never tried to steal, so no.
30. Does size matter?
I'd need to do an empirical study....
31. Do you truly hate anyone?
No. I don't have the energy to waste on hate.
32. Rock and Roll or Rap?
Rock and Roll, baby! :^D
33. If you could sleep with one famous person, who would it be?
None. I don't want to sleep with anyone but my husband. (I would like to believe that Feanor just shuffled away because he's disappointed....)
34. Do you have a relative in prison?
No. But uncle Bob should be in prison.
35. Have you ever sung in front of the mirror like your favorite singer?
No. I usually sing in the car.
36. Do you know how to play chess?
No.
37. What food do you find disgusting?
Ketchup, undercooked eggs, hot dogs/sausage, undercooked/bloody meat.
38. Have you ever played I'll show you mine if you show me yours?
No, actually.
39. Have you been to a sex toy party?
I've yet to be invited to one.
40. If you are in a relationship, how long have you been with that person?
As of 31 May...ten years!
41. Fan of oral sex?
Not really, actually.
42. If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be?
I would need less--or no!--sleep. Think of how much I could get done!
43. Give one of your never have I evers:
Never have I ever I wished physical harm or death upon a person.
Now,

Date: 2006-01-24 07:06 pm (UTC)I'm *so* glad I'm not the only one who insists on that!

Date: 2006-01-24 08:19 pm (UTC)We actually do that because Bobby likes to be cold when asleep and I like to be hot. So I allow him to keep the bedroom kind of chilly, but I have to have my crazily heavy zebra blanket to snuggle under!
I hope your cold is doing better and you're settling in. :)

Date: 2006-01-24 07:31 pm (UTC)Never have I ever I wished physical harm or death upon a person.
Wow. I'm impressed. I'm the opposite. I'm kind of an eye-for-an-eye kind of person. Mostly when it comes to animals! I can't think of a specific wish of physical harm, but I have definitely wished EXTREME MISFORTUNE on people.
Although, being around a bunch of horny, teenage boys in high school, I firmly believe that a kick in the balls goes a long way! (Or just the threat of!)
(no subject)
Date: 2006-01-24 08:22 pm (UTC)I have worked hard to be that way, though. I recognize that I can have a temper and also bear grudges, and I really find the effort I used to put forth into "hating" someone to be such a waste...so I work to overcome that.
Now most people don't know that I'm a pacifist, so I am allowed my empty threats...so long as they remain empty! ;)
And I still would like to see that certain ex deported....(no subject)
Date: 2006-01-24 08:43 pm (UTC)Unless you don't gouge anyone's eyes. ;P
I'm not quite so eye-for-eye in everyday stuff. I mean, cutting off someone's hand for stealing is a bit extreme. Mostly it comes in with animal cruelty. That just boils my blood. If someone tortures a black cat because it's black (or for any reason, actually), I honestly can't say I'd feel bad at all if that person got run through the wood chipper...
The rest of my wishing of EXTREME MISFORTUNE is directed at my personal enemies. Which, I really think I only have one...
Empty threats are the best! I make those sometimes. Otherwise I just make warnings.
Wow, this is making me sound like a really mean person!!! :(

Date: 2006-01-24 09:20 pm (UTC)I don't have any personal enemies, since I decided to forgive my ex-GM from The Piece. I'm fairly certain that there are people who would name me an "enemy," and for them, I am sorry, because I certainly don't feel the same about them.
(no subject)
Date: 2006-01-24 09:37 pm (UTC)I only have one personal enemy. I probably need counseling about it. I blame Feanor for the intensity which I really do not like this person.
(no subject)
Date: 2006-01-25 07:09 pm (UTC)So do I... I mean, there is a person whom I would not only like to see deported, but off the face of this Earth, if possible. And, if anything, Feanor is responsible with calming me down when I get too angry. It's enough to picture him somewhere, nearby, snorting and asking me: "Why do you waste your energy on these idiots, when there are so many better things you could do?"
Ok, ok, I talk to my imaginary friends and they talk back, too! There, I said it.:D(no subject)
Date: 2006-01-25 07:13 pm (UTC)That person can have a pity party with my person on Venus!
Well, Venus is too close, maybe Neptune?
"Why do you waste your energy on these idiots, when there are so many better things you could do?"
Lol! Well that's rich, coming from you, Feany!
Ok, ok, I talk to my imaginary friends and they talk back, too! There, I said it. :D

I'm thinking you just got an indignant "I'm not imaginary!"

How about out of the Galaxy? Ot at least out of the Solar System.
Lol! Well that's rich, coming from you, Feany!
"Yea, I guess it is, but I'm trying to be a supportive muse and... well, the mortals annoying Ann_arien are really stupid and deserve a kinslaying!"
"Eh... since when did you learn to type so fast, o great Noldo?"
I turned away from the computer for a second and... just goes to prove my previous point about interactive muses.
I'm thinking you just got an indignant "I'm not imaginary!"
He's not imaginary?! What, and I only find out this now?! Oh, Valar, what am I still doing in fornt of the computer? Lemme at him!

The Void??? ;P
"Yea, I guess it is, but I'm trying to be a supportive muse and... well, the mortals annoying Ann_arien are really stupid and deserve a kinslaying!"
Hehehe.
I'm thinking kinslaying would let my guy off way too easy...I'm thinking extreme public humiliation and a good slapping around...I turned away from the computer for a second and...
Well, what did you expect from the greatest of the Noldor?? ;P
Lemme at him!
Lol! Only if you write a detailed account about it...
(no subject)
Date: 2006-01-26 07:12 am (UTC)O, I like the way you think! Yea, the Void will do just fine. And boy, that person must have got on your nerves really bad. I'm lucky I don't have to see the person I'd gladly pulverize out of existence at all and I chances are I'll never have to.
Lemme at him!
Lol! Only if you write a detailed account about it...
Oooo, I really like the way you think! Mind if I friend you?
And yes, if Feany is really good (what am I saying if?!?!), I might just write about it! >;-D

She said she knew we (her and I) would get along the moment I said I like Feanor. So, I'll do the same&say that seeing you talk nicely about Feany made me think "She's a'right! My kind of gal."
Yeah, come on! He's the greatest of the Noldor!
Feany just frowned looking at the screen and asked me to write: The Greatest of the Firstborn! Who am I to claim otherwise?
(no subject)
Date: 2006-01-26 07:30 pm (UTC)Hehe. I used to think of my person as Sauron. Then a read The Sil and learned about Morgoth and was like "Genius!" So now he's Morgoth!
She said she knew we (her and I) would get along the moment I said I like Feanor.
Lol! When we do intro's during insta-drabbling session, mine is usually "I'm Tarion and I'm a hopeless Feanor Fangurl." ;P
Feanatics unite!
Feany just frowned looking at the screen and asked me to write: The Greatest of the Firstborn!

Elves. Never can please 'em.;)(no subject)
Date: 2006-01-27 08:38 am (UTC)Lol, me too. All the more reason why we should join forces.
I wonder, though, what is it that makes us like him so much. I mean, despite the obvious reasons. I'll have to ask Dawn when will the 1st Feanor Appreciation Month be, and, in addition to all the smut that will be flying around at the time, we, Teh Fangurls, should write a few words on why we love him so much. Like what makes the rebellious, quite mad and slightly evol geius so appealing? Dunno, maybe it's been done before, but I'm sure the list of Feanatics has grown since then.
Elves. Never can please 'em. ;)Well, we can try... Besides, knowing Feany, he'll just say :"The more, the merrier! There is plenty of me for aaaall my fangurls." (dunno about yours, but my Feanor muse is one wicked, naughty Elf! )
Besides, he's got seven sons to keep the fangurls busy, too(no subject)

It doesn't necessarily have to be an appreciation month. It can still be the fangurl reprise and have us, fangurls profess our love for his Royal Highness in some argumented essays.
*said Royal Highness looks mighty cocky because of this*
I'd love to be part of as many communities as are out there, but I'm trying not to expand beyond the limitations that my other preoccupations impose on me for now. I could take a peak, though... :)

Does it show that my brain is all foggy with the cold?
(no subject)
Date: 2006-01-26 03:58 pm (UTC)While working at The Piece, "an eye for an eye" was the common form of retribution. Because this person said something bad about you or betrayed you in some way, then that meant that you had to reply in kind. The result was a mire of personal conflict that was without end or solution when treating the original "offense" for what it was--petty, silly, and immature--and using a little "forgive and forget" would have probably worked out better.
Also, in the US anyway, this phrase is used to justify the death penalty.
Perhaps if everyone treated it as the legal rule that it is intended to be, I wouldn't have a problem with it. As it is, most do not, in my experience, and I find the effort it takes to reply with vengeance to each little thing done to me to be vicious and tiring.
I hope there is an end in sight for your cold? Or do I need to send more hot soup and hotter Elves?? ;)
(no subject)
Date: 2006-01-26 04:07 pm (UTC)Actually you *can't* justifiy death penalty with that saying, because it's intended to compare two kinds of punishement for two different crimes. It's not about comparing the *injury* with the *punishment*.
But, yeah, people. Rhubarb.
Being mean and vicious is a waste of precious time. I don't know how long I may stay in this pretty place, so I prefer to spend my time with other things. And then there is always the possibility that we may come face to face with some kind of divine being after our little stint here. How am I supposed to explain being mean and bitchy then?
I'd rather try to explain how I tried *not* to be mean and bitchy.

Awwww! Well, if Feany shuffled away with a pout, he'd better be heading my way 'cause I'm waiting for him bouncing around and chanting "More for me! More for me!"
30. Does size matter?
I'd need to do an empirical study....
He, he... figured you'd say something like this >;^P
I would need less--or no!--sleep. Think of how much I could get done!
Oh, yea! I'd be so grateful if I didn't have to sleep, or, at least, if I weren't so grumpy when I don't get enough sleep.
If you compare my answers to yours, you'll see we have lots of things in common. I makes even more sense that we get along so well. :D

But of course! I certainly don't possess much experience in the matter (see the reply about being with the same person for 10 years o.O) and so I'd have to either go off of assumption, word of mouth, or do an empirical study. ;)
(Methinks Elves should volunteer as participants and you and I should be the researchers!)
I'd be so grateful if I didn't have to sleep, or, at least, if I weren't so grumpy when I don't get enough sleep.
I'm a tyrant if I don't get enough sleep. Or if my blood sugar is low. So people close to me know that if I'm sleepy or hungry, to stay clear!
If you compare my answers to yours, you'll see we have lots of things in common. I makes even more sense that we get along so well. :D

He, he! Well, upon reading the intro post to AMC, some months ago!, I remember grinning at the screen and saying: "Whoa! A story with&about the Feanorians! And it's got 20 chapters already! I'm gonna love this writer." Almost 40 chapter lates I can I was absolutely right. And you have contributed a lot in turning my Feanor fancy to a blooming obsession. Thank you kindly for that and for everything else.
